Can someone help define dangerous play in golf?

are we not suppose to take a shot until players in front are out of sight or out of range?

Can someone help define dangerous play in golf?nba 2k7

It would help if we wait until it's clear to play. Those other players are always getting in the way aren't they? lol..

Can someone help define dangerous play in golf?nba rules ,nba teams

My definition of dangerous play in golf is when there are golfers out on the golf course spraying balls everywhere and creating an injury waiting to happen for those that think of golf as a courteous sport with ettiquette as its main code of conduct. I see golfers that are playing several balls at a time and only playing the best one. They slow down play and they do not seem to care if they hit someone. That is dangerous.
Golf is about etiquette and personal integrity. You should always wait until it is clear to hit your next shot. That being said if you are teeing off on a par 5 and the group ahead of you is hitting their 3d shot to the green please hit your tee shot. You are not going to hit them unless you hit a tee shot 400 plus. Also when playing your 2nd shot on a par 5 please do not wait till the green is clear. The odds are they are not in your range unless you hit an absolutely perfect shot and even then the ball will maybe if you are lucky roll on to the green. If that does happen simply walk up to the green and apologize. But be ready for that group to watch you putt to see it you make the eagle.
Dangerous play is defined as playing the ball down on the edge of a 100 foot cliff, right next to an active snake bed, and during the climax of a fierce lightning storm.....all while sober.
You should wait until the players are out of range. Etiquette would suggest that you should also wait until they are out of sight (still out of range), so you are not pushing the group ahead. Be careful not to play too slow though.
Yes, you never want to take your next shot if you risk hitting or even landing your ball in the group ahead of you. Make sure you consider the bounce of the initial landing-- some fairways are firmer than others, and your ball may take a healthy leap forward. There is nothing ruder than putting when a group from behind rolls their ball onto the green, or drops it outside of the green. This demonstrates a lack of patience on their part, and in golf, patience is just part of the game. With that said, ensure you play a decent pace as not to hold up the group behind you. Public courses become crowded with warmer weather, and frustration builds when waiting on a group. Not to worry, a marshall should politely inform you if he feels your pace is too slow.
If you are at a par 5 and you are still 250-300 yds. out and your an (Amateur) I'd say you can hit up with no problems if the foursome in front is still on the green. If your say 150-200 yds. out then I would wait till all is clear. Quick play is great as long as your playing safe, and if the group is playing slow ask them if you can pass at the next par 3. "MOST" real golfers will let you, once in awhile you get the idiots that are out to screw up everyones day!

How do you know your score when playing golf?

if i play a game of golf (nine holes) how do i calculate my score and what is an average score

How do you know your score when playing golf?www.nba.com

Dont know how specific of an answer you are looking for, but here goes....Golf courses are set up on a Par(required) score, Par is a number that includes 2 putts per hole, ex. if a hole is a Par 3 you should only take one shot to get to green and then 2 putts for a Par, a Par means 2 shots are allowed to reach a green then the 2 putts and so on......you simply count your strokes(by established rules) from teebox to holing out and record these on your scorecard.....at the end of 9 holes you total your strokes and compare against Par, most courses are Par 36 for 9 holes so if you have a total of 42 after 9, you are +6 or 6 over Par.......an Avg score for 9 holes would be in the 41-45 range for most part time players, if you are a beginner start out with a goal of 54(avg of 2 over on each hole) and try to improve each time you play

If you are playing on a Par 3 course, then that will equal to be a Par 27. If it's a regular course, then it will have at least some Par 4's, and maybe a Par 5 or two along with a Par 3 hole. Basically a "Par" is the number of strokes allowed to finish the hole. A Par 4 is supposed to take you four strokes. If you get it in 3 strokes, then you are "One under Par." If you go over 4 strokes, then you are "____" over par. When you play the course should give you a score sheet telling you what each holes Par is.
Each numbered hole has a "Par" limit.

If the first hole is a 4 under and lets say you make it in 6 attempts? Then for hole #1 you now have a 2 over par. [+2]

The same hole the next player starts. And he makes the hole in 3 attempts?

He is now 3 under par or [-3]

[[This person is winning because he had made the hole in less attempts.
Its all about par. Par is basically the set number of shots it takes to get the ball into the hole. for example there is a hole thats par 4. Meaning in 4 shots you should be in the hole. If you get it in less than 4 thats good. 4 or more is bad.
number of strokes you take

9 hole average par is between mid 30's and low 40's, but if you don't know what these things are you probably aren't tiger woods, so you'll probably shoot a lot higher
Sorry but don't really understand.

You calculate your score by adding together the number of shots taken on a hole against the par for that hole - you then add those up over the round.

Other than that you will have to give more information
Add up all the strokes (swings) that you take to hit the ball from tee to green, until it goes into the hole. Record each hole, 1 - 9 then add them all up. Par for most courses is 36 for 9 holes.

Which is harder to play golf or tennis?

My friend and I are having a debate on which is harder. We were able to conclude that physically tennis is a lot harder, but mentally they are about the same. I am a varsity tennis player so naturally I favor the tennis being harder side. What are your thoughts?

Which is harder to play golf or tennis?nba draft history

Well I think tennis. The reason being that the server has to deliver an unplayable serve to the receiver.Should the receiver return the ball, the server must try and dictate the game to thier own advantage.Every shot by either player must be executed within seconds. The players must be extremely fit

Golf on the other hand,is far more relaxing. The players have time to evaluate thier shot.No matter how well executed, has no bearing on the ability of opponent to do likewise or even better.Plus the golfer has a caddy to advise and guide through every shot.

Whereas the tennis player must beat every opponent they meet to advance further in tournament. To the final

Unlike the golfer who is'nt really playing anyone.Thier challenge is the course itself.A golfer does'nt need to be fit,but must have great mental agility and tenacity.

A tennis player also requires this ability. So I think Tennis as it requires ability, fitness and youth.A golfer only needs ability

tennis
They both have their level of difficulty and I think that they are not comparable to each other (apples and oranges).
Golf is much harder. I've played both at a pretty respectable level.

It is much easier to grasp the fundamentals of tennis. The shots are easier to make. The only thing making it more of a challenge is the need for physical stamina. And even that isn't much of a factor at the recreational level.

The components in golf that make it more challenging are precision and consistency. The shotmaking is much more precise. Very small inaccuracies in a golf swing produce wildly varying shots. And you need that precision consistently to be a good golfer.

At high competitive levels, mental toughness is probably about equal. But at recreational levels, golf requires a lot more focus.

Give golf a try. You'll find out for yourself quickly enough.
Tennis. I play both, and I find it much easier to go out and play golf than play tennis.
We know that these 2 games are different in nature. Tennis is confined to an small area for the players to run about. Golf has the entire golf course, average distance of 6000 meters for par 72 and 18 holes for the players to manage. Tennis is played with an opponent. Golf is playing against own self; i.e. you are responsible for your own stroke unlike tennis that the player is inference by the opponent's return stroke. However both games have one thing in common- mental strength. If all equal, the player with the stronger mental strength wins. I play both and enjoy both games very much.
to get 'good' in a shorter amount of time- I believe tennis is harder. To just hit the ball and get it 'in play' I guess that's where golf could be considered a harder game and I somtimes find that golf has a little bit of luck playing- so that could make it more or less hard. It also depends on the person and their natural abilities.

but basically... I think tennis is harder
I play both,, and persinally i think it is golf. i picked tennis over one sumer, but golf I hav played my whole life and it is alot harder to hit the ball than in tennnis.

They are both great sports
I think it is tennis. It is very a physically challenging game. The mental abilities required in playing tennis are less as compared to golf. But as far as physical strength goes, golf stands nowhere
Golf is hard to learn because of the different clubs used for the different shots in different situations, and learning to play the course. Golf is difficult to learn for sure, but there's more involved in excelling at tennis than golf.

Tennis is difficult to learn because you have to be in proper shape, and have to learn how to correctly serve (flat, slice and kick) up the line, to jam the returner, and out wide, not to mention how to volley, return serve, how to hit overheads, lobs, use topspin, underspin, sidespin, hit groundstrokes, backhand and forehands, and returnserve. Tennis is harder to play because to excel in it, you have to learn all the requisite skills, have a superior fitness level to golfers, and deal with playing on multiple playing surfaces such as hardcourts, carpet, clay and grass, but most of us will tend to play on one (hardcourts or clay, depending on which part of the world you live in). There's no coaching allowed during the match in tennis. I don't know if this is the case in golf. There are public tennis courts you can use for

free to work on your game in tennis, I don't know about that being

the case in golf.
both.

Depends on your ability. some people are good in one sport, others in the other sport.
,It has to be golf. I failed at learning both but I had more trouble hitting the golf ball. Even from a layman's stand point it seems lot harder to hit a tiny ball into a hole from such a distance than to hit a larger ball over a net.
I think it is golf.
tennis bcos u have to run around a lot which requires a lot of stamina not tat golf is easy compared to tennis golf is easier to play..
I play both and love both, but golf has proven the most difficult to learn. You're correct, tennis is more physically demanding but golf takes more patience, mental processing and nerve.

Which golf course is better, Tiger's Eye or The International World Tour Course in Myrtle Beach

A group of us are going down for a week and we want to know which course is better. Tiger's Eye is suppose to be one of the best ones down there and the world tour course has replica holes from well unknown courses around the world. Help please.

Which golf course is better, Tiger's Eye or The International World Tour Course in Myrtle Beach?nba video

As a golfer who lives in Myrtle Beach, i would say The International World Tour Course.

Which golf course is better, Tiger's Eye or The International World Tour Course in Myrtle Beach?pro basketball ,nba teams

Tigers Eye is on a plantation with 3 other course's. Panther's and Lion's are decent tracks but nothing to write home about. Tiger's is definately one of the elite courses down there but I play World Tour every year i go down and it's the best. Amen's corner, sawgrass 17, and Swilcan bridge from St. Andrews are just a few of the highlights.

At World Tour you also get an ambassador that checks in with you every 3 holes or so and gives you caddy tips. You can schedule tee's for only 18 of the 27 holes but i have been able to get in the extra 9 everytime i've been there ($55 w/cart)

What are golf grips made from?

Hey does anyone know what type of rubber golf grips are made from and how they are manufacturered. Also how are they attached to the shaft?

What are golf grips made from?nba hoops

Use the links below to get the answers to your gripping questions:

What are golf grips made from?nba 2k7 ,nba teams

CAN'T TELL YOU WHAT KIND OF RUBBER, BUT THEY ARE INSTALLED BY WRAPPING DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE AROUND THE SHAFT, FILLING THE GRIP WITH SOLVENT, AND SLIDING THE GRIP DOWN OVER THE TAPE... IF YOU BUY YOUR OWN GRIPS, THEY WILL COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS... IT'S VERY EASY TO RE-GRIP YOUR OWN CLUBS!!! "HIT 'EM STRAIGHT"
Basically, there are two types of grips - soft type and hard type. Hard type grips are often built with cord made of cotton. A variety of types of cord (classic, GX, tour wrap) are available, and grips could be half or full corded.

Natural rubber, synthetic rubber and compound materials in conjunction with a number of cord and surface configurations offer different gripping characteristics. Grips could be either round or with a reminder, which is a line or rib on the underside of the grip that reminds the golfer where the hand should be placed.

The golf grip is attached to the shaft with a gluey type of substance

Hope that helps

I love golf!!
