Have you ever cut open your golf ball just to find out exactly what was inside of it?

If you did, what did you find? I'm sitting here wondering what sort of tool I should use to cut open one of mine.

Yes, I'm bored. And I'm Curious.

Yes -- both driving range, and regular.

The driving range ball was a solid mass of white material.

The regular golf ball had the outer layer -- a bit more than a millimeter thick. Beneath that was a layer that looked like rubber bands. Then, beneath that was a rubber core.

The rubber core was hollow, and contained a thick viscous dark gray liquid. Yuck.

Hacksaw. Do NOT hold the ball with one hand while sawing it with the other. The saw will slip and you WILL cut yourself. Put the ball in a table vise or something.

it is pretty cool. I have seen them when they have been broken. I have never broken one myself, just found them, but it is pretty cool
when i once opened a giof ball there was a rubber band bouncy ball inside. I also have opened other ones and they've all been different.
yes, its like strong rubber bands all tied together, under the white cover. I too was bored, and drunk.
try a hacksaw or a miter saw.
no, i have not, but I've seen them cut open on the golf range.

If you wanted to see the inside, you could go to your local public/private golf range and they will probably have some. Inside is a certain material. ???? I wouldn't suggest opening it. You could get hurt.
the secrets of the universe will be revealed to you.
I've seen one that was split open. It was rubber inside (like the kind used to make rubber bands).

Maybe yours is different though... Go on... Open it!!!

I'd suggest a small saw (I don't think an axe or wire cutters would work too well)
yes it depends what type of ball some have elastics and some have a hard foam, often a few types of foam. A hand saw is proll y the easiest way to cut it open.
I don't know whats inside them now but when I was a kid it was a bunch of elastic bands.
I used a hatchet to open one a long time ago....I was young...and I was stupid...don't do that. If I remember completely it was just a ball of rubber. Good luck!
I am 100% positive that there are fruit loops inside of them.
i have cut one open one day with a lawnmower try that.
As I recall it's a big rubber band type ball. That may have changed, and it's been a while since I did it.

Careful on the cutting - you could take out and eye :)
it's got a rubber band ball inside type thing. i can't remember how i broke it.
Cut it open with a couping saw.

There are many different configurations of golf balls on the market. Two piece, three piece, wound etc. Cut open a bunch and see for yourself.
yes it consist of one continuos rubberband wrapped around ahard rubber ball with an air pocket inthe center
It's just made up of rubber.
