Handicap is calculated by using your best ten scores out of your last twenty 18 hole rounds on Yahoo!. However, it also takes into account the difficulty of the course by using the yardage, slope, and course rating of the courses you play. I believe that five is the minimum number of 18 hole rounds used by the USGA in determining handicap. They are the only official group to determine a handicap although they authorize several different companies to use their system for "official" handicaps.

there are many website that figure it out for u free..... but a handicap is basically what u normally shoot in relation to par, to get a good idea, add up ur total strokes over par and divide that by how many times uve played
